Managing Addon Domains

Addon domains allow you to host multiple websites on a single hosting account (if your plan supports it).

Add a New Domain

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. Go to Domains > Addon Domains (or just Domains in newer cPanel)
  3. Click Create A New Domain
  4. Enter domain name (e.g., seconddomain.com)
  5. Subdomain and document root auto-fill (or customize)
  6. Click Add Domain or Submit

Point Domain to Hosting

Before the addon domain works, you must:

  1. Point domain's nameservers to our nameservers, OR
  2. Create A record pointing to your server IP
  3. Wait for DNS propagation (up to 48 hours)

Accessing Addon Domain Files

Each addon domain has its own folder:

  • Go to File Manager
  • Navigate to /public_html/seconddomain.com (or your custom path)
  • Upload website files here

Removing Addon Domains

  1. Go to Domains section
  2. Find the addon domain
  3. Click Remove or trash icon
  4. Confirm removal

Warning: Removing an addon domain also deletes all files in its directory.

Addon Domain vs Subdomain

  • Addon Domain: Completely separate domain (e.g., secondsite.com)
  • Subdomain: Section of existing domain (e.g., blog.firstsite.com)
