WordPress can be installed in one click from the Webfort control panel — no need to download, upload, or configure anything manually.
Installing WordPress
- Log in to the Webfort control panel and go to Websites.
- Select the website you want to install WordPress on.
- Click Applications in the top navigation.
- Click Install WordPress.
- Choose the domain and directory. Leave the directory blank to install at the root (recommended).
- Enter an admin username, password, and email — these are for logging in to WordPress itself.
- Click Install.
Installation usually takes under a minute. When it's done, you'll see a link to your site's /wp-admin login.
After Installation
- Verify your SSL certificate is active — see How to Install an SSL Certificate and Force HTTPS.
- Enable automatic updates for WordPress core, plugins, and themes.
- Delete any unused themes and plugins that ship by default.
- Consider a caching plugin for better performance.
