A catch-all email address receives all messages sent to your domain, regardless of what's in the "to" field — even if the address doesn't exist. For example, if hello@yourdomain.com is set as your catch-all, it will also receive emails sent to helo@yourdomain.com or any other variation.
Note: Only one catch-all address can be active per domain.
Creating a New Catch-All Email Address
- Log in to the Webfort control panel and select your website.
- Click Emails from the top navigation menu.
- Click Add account.
- Fill in the account details, and tick the option to Make this email address a catch-all.
- Click Save.
Converting an Existing Email to a Catch-All
- In the Webfort control panel, navigate to Emails for your website.
- Find the email address you'd like to use and click Manage.
- Scroll down to the Catch-all section.
- Toggle the Catch-all switch to the on position.
Changes take effect immediately. Any emails sent to unrecognised addresses on your domain will now be forwarded to the catch-all inbox.
