The Webfort control panel lets you manage multiple domains on a single website. You can add addon domains, aliases, subdomains, and set up redirects — all from one place.
Adding a Domain, Alias, or Subdomain
- Log in to the Webfort control panel and go to Websites.
- Select the website you want to add a domain to.
- Click Domains in the top navigation menu.
- Click Add domain.
- Choose the domain type (addon domain, alias, or subdomain).
- Enter the required details and click Add.
Changing Your Primary Domain
The primary domain is the main domain shown for your website in the control panel. To change it:
- Add your new domain as an alias first (see above).
- Once added, click the … (three-dot) menu next to your new domain.
- Select Make primary.
- Click Save to confirm.
Setting Up Redirects
You can redirect any domain to a different URL using either a permanent (301) or temporary (302) redirect.
- In the Webfort control panel, go to Websites and select your site.
- Click Advanced, then select Redirects.
- Click Add redirect.
- Choose the redirect type: 301 (permanent) or 302 (temporary).
- Select your domain and enter the destination URL.
- Click Add.
Use a 301 redirect when permanently moving a domain or page. Use a 302 for temporary changes.
